Kate is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience across public mental health services and private practice. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
Working from a collaborative and holistic CBT framework, Kate supports clients to build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and make meaningful changes that improve daily life. She has experience assisting people with anxiety—including social anxiety, OCD and panic, as well as insomnia, depression, grief, and eating-related concerns. Kate is also mindful of the impact of social isolation and values helping clients develop meaningful social connections to reduce loneliness and enhance emotional health.
Kate has particular interests in Healthy Aging and the brain–gut connection. Healthy Aging promotes simple habits around diet, movement, sleep, and stress management to support long-term wellbeing at any age. The focus being on helping people improve their quality of life across the lifespan. She also helps clients understand the brain–gut connection, the way the gut and brain constantly communicate. She explains how an unsettled or unhealthy gut can influence mood, stress levels, and physical comfort, and supports clients to make simple changes that can help them feel more balanced overall.
Outside of work, she enjoys making colourful screen prints, going to the gym, walking, travelling, and listening to folk music.
